Casting 2 boys and 2 girls between the ages of 8 and 12 years old who are no taller than 4 feet 8 inches. Applicants must meet these requirements to be considered.

Toronto (April 15, 2009) – Dancap Productions Inc. is holding an open casting call for enthusiastic children to appear live on stage in the Toronto production of Anne of Green Gables - The Musical™ during its May 7-24 run at the Elgin Theatre. Interested applicants are invited to participate in auditions that will take place on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at 6:30pm in Studio A at the Lower Ossington Theatre (100 Ossington Avenue, north of Queen Street West).

The company is casting two boys and two girls between the ages of eight and 12 years old who are no taller than 4 feet 8 inches. Applicants must meet these requirements to be considered.

Candidates do not need prepared material for the audition. They will be instructed in choreography and songs from Anne of Green Gables – The Musical™. The children should wear comfortable clothing that is easy to dance in, with clean and comfortable running or dance shoes.

Applicants selected for the roles will perform in pairs of two, one boy and one girl. Each pair will alternate performances from May 7-24, 2009. The performance schedule is as follows: Wednesdays at 2:00pm and 7:30pm; Thursdays at 11:00 am (May 14) or 2:00pm (May 21) and 7:30pm; Fridays at 7:30pm; Saturdays at 2:00pm and 7:30pm; and Sundays at 2:00pm. This will include performances during Mother’s Day and Victoria Day weekends. Rehearsals begin on Thursday, April 23, 2009. A child supervisor will be present at every show and rehearsal.
