JERSEY BOYS is the story behind the music of Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons: Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi. It tells the story of how four blue-collar boys from the wrong side of the tracks became one of the biggest American pop music sensations of all time. They wrote their own songs, invented their own sound and sold 175 million records worldwide - all before they were 30.
True musical icons, The Four Seasons is one of very few American acts whose success was not derailed by the British invasion of the Beatles in 1964. With their 19 top ten hits, induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and covers of their songs still hitting the pop charts, Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons is one of the most successful singing groups in rock and roll history. Their legacy continues with the cast recording of JERSEY BOYS, produced by Bob Gaudio, certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America.
Directed by two-time Tony Award® winner and Toronto native Des McAnuff, JERSEY BOYS is written by Academy Award winner Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, with music by Bob Gaudio, lyrics by Bob Crewe and choreography by Sergio Trujillo, another Toronto native.
JERSEY BOYS is the winner of the 2006 Best Musical Tony Award®, the 2006 Grammy Award® for Best Musical Show Album, and most recently, the 2009 Olivier Award for Best New Musical.
The Canadian production of JERSEY BOYS is produced by Dancap Productions Inc., Dodger Theatricals, Joseph J. Grano, Tamara and Kevin Kinsella, Pelican Group in association with Latitude Link and Rick Steiner.
